Summary

A guy walks into a diner with a handmade gun (a Ghost Gun) to assault his ex. Another guy (a nurse) attacks the assailant only to get shot himself. The whole affair leads to a court case where we see Harry presiding. The case is against Steve Pointer, the head of CovertCrafts, a company that supplies build-your-own kits for personal weapons hobbyists. Harry believes the judge presiding over the case, Marlene Gannon, to have been bought off and contacts the Leverage team for assistance.

The team plans on luring Judge Gannon into a bribery scheme through bourbon. Eliot plays a grift with Magnolia casks, which she’s interested in. Eliot also undertakes a dual role, posing as a militia influencer to distract Steve Pointer.

Breanna creates a fictitious tech billionaire named "Frank Stanford", built through a Frankenstein of faces that radiate wealth and power. Breanna, as Frank, gets on a call with Marleen, but Rick interrupts. Forced to arrange an in-person meet-up with Marleen, Breanna finds a match for her fake Frank in Timothy Noteilus, a pool boy.

Under Frank's disguise, Tim goes to the judge’s fundraiser to bribe the judge. Tim bails on their plan and attempts to use the money to help his mother, as her house was foreclosed. Even though Breanna helps regain Tim’s confidence, their plan is screwed as Rick interrupts again.

The team makes Steve get caught red-handed to make it look like he was bribing one of the jury members. Judge Gannon's involvement is exposed, and the media swarm her residence, where Tim poses as Marleen’s pool cleaner (to make it look as if she was having an affair). It ruins her public persona and her chances of getting re-elected as a judge.

Harry gets the case overturned and prompts Elton to help Tim with his mother’s case.
